Broke into a yeshiva and were thrown out by the students

Six activists from the Daat Emet organization, an ad hoc group of apostates affiliated with the Shinui political party, arrived last Sunday afternoon at K'far Chabad, bearing propaganda materials which mocked the Torah and the words of Chazal and the Torah greats. Their purpose was clear: to provoke the residents and create a provocation which would help them make headlines.

The destination of the six activists, the Tomchei Temimim yeshiva building in which hundreds of students learn, was familiar to them. This was the second time within ten days that activists from this organization came to the yeshiva. The first time they came their visit went off quietly, even though members of the organization infiltrated the yeshiva building with no permission and even entered the students' dormitory rooms, where they scattered their propaganda. But this time it was clear to all that their goal was to provoke and antagonize the yeshiva students.

As soon as the activists left their car and entered the yeshiva building -- without permission -- and began spreading their propaganda around, they were surrounded by dozens of students and thrown out of the building, pushed towards their car.

"Had they remained in the street and distributed their informational leaflets on the street, no one would have even looked at them. But when it became clear that they just wanted to antagonize and provoke a reaction, the students decided to remove them from the premises," one of the students reported.

Chabad spokesman Menachem Brod reacted strongly to these provocative acts: "Shinui activists committed a criminal act by breaking in to the yeshiva building, and it is the students' right to remove them from the premises. These activists come with only one goal in mind -- to provoke and cause riots so they can feed the flames of anti-religious hatred, which is the only justification for their existence. It would be appropriate for the Israeli public at large to declare the actions of  Shinui members, who sow baseless hatred for Charedi Jews and who earn their bread by inflaming dark passions, beyond the limits of all acceptability."
